This blend has notes of roasted coffee, dried cherries, mulling spices and raspberry on the nose. The body is medium to full with black currants, juicy cherries, a touch of mulling spice, raspberries, and notes of cinnamon on the finish. Medium tannin and balanced acidity keep it refreshing.
The owner of Renegade Wine Company buys small lots of this wine, often from a single vineyard, and blends it himself. He refuses to divulge his sources. All the Renegade wines are made in small quantities (100-300 cases) and sell out quickly, overdelivering quality at each price point.
