Aromas of warm spiced dark fruit, a hint of smoke and chocolate, and a touch of wood. When first opened, the wine shows pronounced acidity on the attack as well as pronounced tannins. However, with about 15 minutes of air, acidity integrates well and tannins soften considerably. Juicy small fruits weave their way around the structuring elements, neither jammy nor cooked. Despite its youth, this is a well-balanced wine that will continue to develop both complexity and integration. It is medium in body and length.
