Tasting Notes

Aromas of black currants, black plum, plum skin, violets, garrigue and damp earth entice on the nose. The palate follows through with these flavors in a full-bodied style. Macerated blackberries, blueberries and currants are ripe without being at all overripe. These blend with dried herbs, spice, baking chocolate, licorice root and black pepper. The tannins and acid are all wrapped in nicely, leading to a long finish of cooked blueberries, blackberries and their stems. Lovely to drink now or hold. This also makes an excellent gift.
