ABOUT THE WINE

The Eguren family has been dedicated to grape growing since 1870 in the most prestigious estates in Rioja. Sierra Cantabria has made its wine under this name since 1957 from its 90 hectares of vineyards. It has an average age of 35 years on the vines. Grapes for this wine come from estate vineyards planted in the early 80s in calcareous clay soils with gravel.

After harvest, grapes are fermented in stainless steel with selected indigenous yeast. Total maceration is 14 days long. The wine spends 6 months in stainless steel tank, 6 months in American and French Oak barrels (two to three vintage old.)
