Tasting Notes

Toasty spice aromas balance with notes of baked apple and light citrus. This is a medium-plus bodied wine with notes of baked apples, slight caramel notes, toasted nuts and a hint of butter. Despite the oak notes this wine is balanced and manages to stay fresh.

Roasted  poultry,  pasta  with  cream  sauces,  and  baked  salmon.  Vegetarian  quiches  and  frittatas would  also  make   great  pairing  partners.

Route Victor is produced in the small town of Victor, California, just east of Lodi, best known for being a center of wine-grape production. The Lodi Appellation has become increasingly respected for its fine wine production, along with its focus on sustainability. Both Cabernet and Chardonnay are proudly crafted in a winery housed in the historic Victor Fruit Company, with vineyards dating back 100 years, representing the best traditions of small town farmers dedicated to quality for over a century.

The Lodi AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in the Central Valley of California, at the northern edge of the San Joaquin Valley east of San Francisco Bay. The AVA gained approval as a designated wine growing area in 1986 and includes 551,000of which 103,000 acres are currently planted with wine grapes. The appellation includes land in southern Sacramento County and northern San Joaquin County. It is bounded on the west by Interstate Highway 5 and to the east by the political borders for the adjacent El Dorado, Amador, and Calaveras Counties.
