Miguel Torres Maczassek, the fifth generation of the family, is at the helm and upholds the family values of respect, cooperation, excellence, vitality and curiosity. Priorat is a county in Catalonia, Spain.The central part of the region, "Priorat històric," produces the famous and prestigious wine of the Denominacion de Origen Calificada Priorat. The soil here is composed of a blue slate called “Llicorella”. Wines from elsewhere in the comarca are denominated as Montsant. The area is also known for the production of hazelnuts. The landscape is densely hilly, and the climate is continental: dry and hot in summer, cold in the winter.
Grapes for this wine were vinified separately in stainless steel. The assemblage was made in the spring of 2017 and the final wine was aged for 14 months if French oak, 25% new.
