Tasting Notes

This wine has a light straw color with green highlights. It’s very fragrant, offering soft yellow apples and Bartlett pears. With air, there’s a touch of spun caramel thread that doesn’t seem out of place. The wine is equally intense in the mouth. It has high acidity for Chardonnay, especially on the attack, making it quite juicy. The apples and pears reappear, along with fresh herb and citrus notes. There’s a certain roundness on the palate. It is medium in body with a long finish.


Grapes for this wine come from a vineyard at 380 meters above sea level; the vines average 37 years of age. Fruit was harvested manually during the first two weeks of September. After a 20-hour cold maceration, the must fermented for three weeks in stainless steel. It aged six months on the fine lees and three months in bottle before release.
