A fresh and lively Prosecco with lots of lemon and lime character, as well as spiced pears. Medium body, lovely fruit and a fresh finish. Green apple and fragrant spring-blossom aromas leap out of the glass while the enjoyable palate delivers creamy white peach, citrus and pear. It's bright and charming, with crisp acidity and a foaming mousse.
The Bisol family has been crafting fine, sparkling wine in the area since `582. Their Jeio label represents the family’s entry level wine and is considered to be a delicious and budget-friendly way to experience the elegant style of Bisol’s much pricier DOCG-certified Prosecco Superiore wines. The Glerra grapes used for the Jeio label are sourced from 35 of the family’s steepest vineyard plots within Valdobbiadene, where soil is notably high in malic acid, one of the three main organic acids found in grapes. The steep terrain requires cultivation and harvest based entirely on manual methods, an approach that has come to be known in Italy as “heroic viticulture”.
The juice from Bisol’s Glerra grapes undergoes a 15 day primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The Jeio’s beautiful bead is achieved through the Charmat method, where pressurized tanks are used to retain co2 produced during secondary fermentation.
