This is black-fruited and spicy with some depth to the aromas; it’s very pleasant and not jammy. Light tannins and acid provide structure to the dark fruit. This red is enjoyable with or without food. Good matches include tomato-based meat dishes, roasted duck or chicken, spinach and ricotta casseroles and Mediterranean flavors.
