Enticing aromas of black cherry, black currant, cinnamon, and licorice. The palate is ripe without any excess. It offers beautiful balance and texture. Black cherry dominates, joined by tea and plum notes, and a light dose of spice. Flavors are complex and hard to tease apart, so well are they interwoven. Medium plus in body with a long finish.

The Fableist is a collaboration between winemakers Curt Schalchin of Sans Liege and Andrew Jones of Field Recordings. The nine wines that make up the collection look to the fables of Aesop and La Fontaine, as well as more modern ones, for their inspiration. This is based on “The Frog and the Scorpion”.
