Tasting Notes
The nose shows hints of stewed fruits, leather, earth and balsamic. The palate is medium to fuller bodied with blackcurrants, blackberry seeds, pencil lead, ink and minerality. This is a riper style wine with balanced acidity.

This organic wine comes from several high quality sites in the Rhône valley of Southern France, using hand-harvested grapes from vines averaging over 80 years in age. The grapes are fermented in concrete tanks (typical for the area) using natural yeasts and then aged a further six months in concrete. They are bottled unfiltered with very little sulphur.

Michel Gassier is a fourth generation Rhône/Costières de Nimes grower and winemaker. He works with his wife, Tina, “respecting their employees as much as their vines.” This particular project is made in partnership with Philippe Cambié and American importer, Eric Solomon.
