Tasting Notes
Elegant, dry, and lean. This wine shows an abundance of apple fruit, along with bright tropical fruit and a supple creaminess that complements the refreshing acidity and carbonation.

The French use the term “Crémant” to refer to some sparkling wines from outside the Champagne region, but not just any sparkler can earn the title. There are 7 Appellation d'origine Contrôlée (AOC) regions in France to include the designation “Crémant.” French law dictates that the grapes for such wines must be hand-harvested and not exceed yields specified by their respective AOC.  Crémant wines are generally made using the same method as Champagne.  In French areas outside of Champagne, this process is called “méthode traditionelle.”

Jean-Jacques Vincent and his son, Antoine, are the owners and winemakers of Maison J.J. Vincent and of the historic Château Fuissé.  The chateau owns 80 acres within four different appellations in Burgundy, its most famous holdings being in Pouilly-Fuissé.  They produce a number of Chardonnay wines, and this wine is released under their negociant label, “Vincent.”   Although Crémant de Bourgogne can be made with any of the grapes allowed in Burgundy, J.J. Vincent chooses to showcase the Chardonnay grape.
