This wine is fragrant as soon as the cork leaves the bottle! The aromas are beautifully integrated, with plum, bramble, small dark fruits, and dried herbs including oregano and sage. This is a tasty wine from Tuscany with aromas of cherry, old wood, potpourri, root beer and forest floor. The palate reminds one of strawberry leather, worn leather, bay leaf, and smoke. It has great texture with medium acidity, integrated tannins and a velvety finish. 

Rustic aromas of warm earth, barn, worn leather, and herbs complement ripe red fruits (cranberry, red currant and cooked strawberry) on the nose. More red fruit on the palate is supported by fresh acid and integrated tannins providing a pleasing mouthfeel. Touches of spice and earthy minerals round out the finish.
